DESSIDERIUM

Dessiderium is a progressive death metal project from Arizona, United States, led by multi instrumentalist and vocalist Alex Haddad, also known for his work with Atheist and Arkaik. The music moves between technical death metal, blackened elements and more atmospheric passages, carried by a mix of clean vocals, harsh vocals and detailed melodic writing.

After several early releases, the project drew broader attention with Aria in 2021. The album features long form compositions that balance introspective moments with darker and more aggressive sections, highlighting Haddad’s sense of structure and pacing. In 2025, Dessiderium released Keys to the Palace, an album based on material written over many years, exploring themes such as time, loss of innocence and personal evolution.

Although primarily a studio project, Dessiderium has developed a strong live presence and has toured across the United States with bands such as Tomarum, Dawn of Ouroboros, Cyborg Octopus and Arkaik. These shows helped establish the project as a compelling live act within the progressive and technical metal scenes. Blending extreme metal, progressive songwriting and atmospheric elements, Dessiderium has carved out a distinct space within modern progressive metal.
